Celebrate National Poetry Month with JM Reinbold and the Red Dragonfly Haiku Poets on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Hockessin Bookshelf.

4:30 p.m. Haiku Here & Now: A Mini Workshop

  • Preserving Moments of Your Life in Haiku
  • Getting to the Heart of the Haiku
  • Techniques for reading haiku to an audience
  • Techniques for listening to haiku
  • Using haiku for meditation
  • A Japanese-style haiku session

This workshop is for suitable for beginners, as well as more experienced haikuists. Bring a notebook and pen. This is an interactive workshop. We will discuss, read, write, and share.

5:30 p.m. Reading by the Red Dragonfly Haiku Poets

JM Reinbold, Director of the Written Remains Writers Guild, is a haiku poet, the senior editor of The Cicada’s Cry: A Micro Zine of Haiku Poetry, a member of the Haiku Society of America, and the Red Dragonfly Haiku Poets. She leads the annual Haiku WriMo Delaware, a month of writing a haiku every day during the month of February. Her haiku have been published in print and on-line journals. She teaches classes on haiku poetry and haiku arts through the JM Reinbold Haiku Arts Studio.
